Aerial & Scissor Lift Training Kit w/ DVD

In many work situations, employees are required to perform tasks at elevated levels. And even though the type of work being performed may vary greatly from one industry to another, the means by which employees are lifted to the needed height is generally the same. This video will discuss aerial lifts and scissor lifts-the devices used to lift employees to those elevated worksites.

According to the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), Aerial lifts include boom-supported aerial platforms, such as cherry pickers or bucket trucks. The major causes of fatalities are falls, electrocutions, and collapses or tip overs. OSHA goes on to state several “safe work practices” for Aerial Lift such as, ensure that workers who operate aerial lifts are properly trained in the safe use of the equipment, maintain and operate elevating work platforms in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, never override hydraulic, mechanical or electrical safety devices.
