A Clean Kitchen… Is a Safe Kitchen!

1 Make sure you keep everything in its appropriate place. If each utensil and appliance has a home, it is easier to keep your kitchen clean. Start by organizing the cabinets and drawers. Use space wisely by placing the most commonly used utensils in easily accessible areas. When you are finished with an appliance, put it back in its place.

2 Make a list of cleaning activities that need to be accomplished. These activities might include:
● Mopping the floor
● Vacuuming
● Cleaning all countertops
● Cleaning the hood, fryer, etc…
● Cleaning the restrooms
● Washing all the dishes
● Taking out the garbage

3 Determine how often each cleaning task needs to be completed. For instance, the floor will need to be mopped every day but the hood may need cleaning less often. Assign these tasks to individual workers as a part of their daily duties by creating a list and posting it in a conspicuous area.
