Fire Safety Training w/ DVD

Each year in the U.S., 70,000-80,000 workplaces experience a serious fire. About 200 employees per year die in these fires and another 5000 are injured. Property losses from workplace fires exceed $2 Billion annually. The good news is that only about 15% of workplace fires result from a catastrophic failure of equipment, and 85% are caused by factors related to human behavior. This means that by being proactive, with a simple fire prevention plan and program, you can greatly reduce the likelihood of a fire in your workplace.

Fire safety becomes everyone's job at a worksite. Employers should train workers about fire hazards in the workplace and about what to do in a fire emergency. If you want your workers to evacuate, you should train them on how to escape. If you expect your workers to use firefighting equipment, you should give them appropriate equipment and train them to use the equipment safely. (See Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1910 Subparts E and L; and Part 1926 Subparts C and F.) The fire safety plan should outline the assignments of key personnel in the event of a fire and provide an evacuation plan for workers on the site.

OSHA Compliance Group, Inc. has developed this training video and materials to assist employers in complying with these regulations.

The video is 11 minutes and addresses the major areas needed to comply with the standard, including:
